Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has finally opened up on the pregnancy journey with his wife, Mo Bimpe.
In an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown, he said he pampered Mo Bimpe, especially knowing fully well that they have been expecting for years. He called his wife a strong woman.
Lateef revealed that when he learnt he was expecting triplets, he was shocked and, at the same time, had mixed feelings. According to him, when one is expecting something, and it exceeds one’s expectations, that means the wait wasn’t a bad one.
When asked whether he participated in the babies’ delivery, Lateef said he didn’t stay back and was with her throughout. He said he was right there, saw it happen, and gave kudos to women.
Speaking about the next baby, he said he knows Mo Bimpe wants a girl, but everything is in God’s hands.
“It was shocking for me; at the same time, it was a mixed feeling. When you’ve been expecting something, and then it came beyond your expectations, that means the waiting is not a bad one

I cannot stay back; we did it together. We are in it together; I was right there, and I saw it happen. It wasn’t an easy task I give it up to the woman. Well done.
Everything is in God’s hands because they are boys. I know my wife will love to have a female so we can do one more round, maybe”.
It is no longer news that in May, the couple had announced the birth of their triplet boys. Lateef shared a video of Bimpe holding their ultrasound, saying that God had given him more than he had prayed for, as his wife is now a mother of three boys.
On May 7th, the couple held a low-key naming ceremony at their residence in Lekki, Lagos. The couple kept things low-key and invited only close friends and family. Spotted at the ceremony were Jide Awobona, Ibrahim Yekini ‘Itele’ and his wife, and Omowunmi Dada.
During Femi Adebayo’s visit to Lateef and Bimpe, Lateef jokingly said he still wants more kids, but Bimpe shut it down, saying she’s stopping at four and wants a girl child.
Speaking out, Lateef wrote a heartfelt note to the public, noting how the love has been loud, beautiful and overwhelming. Lateef added that so much genuine love and prayers have surrounded them, and he appreciated them for celebrating his triplets.
Reflecting on his newfound life, he revealed that the past weeks had changed him forever. He said he has held greatness in his arms three times over, adding that watching his wife become a mother and himself become a father is a feeling that he can’t put into words.
While celebrating his first Eid as a father, the father of three, said he prayed for days like this, endured difficult nights and never lost faith. Lateef said his triplets are here to prove to him that Allah does answer prayers.
At the 12th edition of the AMVCA in May, Lateef’s movie Lisabi won Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) and Best Makeup. While receiving his award, he dedicated it to his wife, who has given him three children.
Lateef had reacted to a strong warning from a man, who advised him to stop allowing people to carry his babies, as they aren’t museum items to be touched. The actor appreciated his words, letting him know that he had taken his advice.
The birth of their triplets is undoubtedly a good news as the couple have been bullied for not having a child.
