“I Endured Bigamy for Two Years and Adultery for Nine” – Journalist Best Mbiere Speaks After Divorce

Journalist and media entrepreneur Best Mbiere has reacted after a Benin High Court dissolved her 12-year marriage to her former husband, Michael Mbiere.

Speaking after the court’s decision, Mbiere described the moment as one filled with mixed emotions, stating that despite the outcome, she made every effort to preserve the marriage.

According to her:

“For me, it’s a mixed feeling. Everything is ending today, but it’s not my fault because I truly tried to build my home.

I endured bigamy for two years and adultery for over nine years under the same roof.

He married another woman, and for two years we never shared the same bed. He also refused to eat my food.

I’m only doing this to clear my name.”

Her comments have drawn attention online, with many social media users reacting to the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the end of the marriage.

The court ruling officially brings an end to a union that lasted more than a decade, while Mbiere maintains that she remained committed to making the relationship work despite the challenges she claimed to have faced.
