“I Have A Story To Tell Too”- Fola Tinubu Speaks Out Against Lizzy Anjorin

Fola Tinubu, the former wife of Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin’s husband, has broken her silence on the alleged bullying, emotional abuse and threats she claims to have experienced over the years.

Fola, who is a mother of four, took to Instagram to share photos of Lizzy Anjorin alongside a lengthy statement in which she recounted her alleged experiences and vowed not to be intimidated into silence by the actress and her former husband.

According to Fola, her troubles began in 2020 when she learnt online that her ex-husband, the father of her two younger children, had married Lizzy Anjorin. She disclosed that her second child was barely three months old at the time and claimed that she struggled to reach her children’s father when she needed his support.

The mother of four further alleged that she had faced several threats, including a demand involving ₦10 million, online bullying and attacks allegedly carried out through bloggers. She also claimed that she was forced to leave an apartment rented for her by her former husband without being given enough opportunity to gather her belongings.

Fola additionally accused the actress of questioning the paternity of her children, explaining that she had taken legal steps to address the DNA testing issue. However, she claimed that their father failed to attend the process as she had expected.

Speaking about the legal battles she has faced, Fola said she had been involved in court proceedings in Lagos and Abuja. She maintained that she had won several cases, while acknowledging that some matters were still ongoing.

Expressing her frustration, Fola questioned why Lizzy Anjorin allegedly portrayed herself as the victim despite the pain she claimed to have endured.

She also clarified that her fight was not about getting back together with her former husband but about protecting her dignity, securing her children’s welfare and seeking justice.

In her words:

“LIZZY ANJORIN, I STILL STAND ON MY WORDS ABOUT WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED, AND I WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED INTO SILENCE.

When I saw the news online in 2020 that you had married my ex-husband, the father of my two younger children, my second baby was barely three months old. I tried to reach their father, but I could no longer get through to him. At a time when I needed support, I was left struggling with the responsibility of raising my four children.

“Since then, I have endured so much pain. I allege that you have threatened me, including threatening to pay ₦10 million to SAN and saying people would forget about me. I have spoken about the bullying and attacks I believe were carried out against me through bloggers. I was also forced out of the house my ex-husband rented for me, without a fair opportunity to gather my belongings. These experiences have left me deeply hurt, and I will not pretend otherwise.

“You questioned the paternity of my children and accused me of lying. I took legal steps to address the DNA testing issue, but their father did not attend as I had hoped. I have also faced court proceedings in Lagos and Abuja. I maintain that I have won several cases, while some matters are still ongoing.

“WHAT HURTS ME MOST IS SEEING YOU PRESENT YOURSELF AS THE VICTIM WHEN I AM THE ONE WHO HAS BEEN SPEAKING ABOUT THE PAIN I HAVE ENDURED. Do you ever think about the mother behind these allegations? Do you think about the children involved? Do you understand what it feels like to carry the burden of raising children while dealing with years of emotional distress and legal battles?

“I am not fighting to take my ex-husband back. I am fighting for my dignity, for my children’s welfare, and for justice. The fact that someone has money or influence does not mean another person should live in fear or lose the courage to speak about their experiences.

“LIZZY ANJORIN, I STILL STAND ON MY WORDS ABOUT WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED AND WHAT I HAVE SAID YOU DID TO ME. I believe I have evidence to support my account, and I am prepared to stand by it. I will not withdraw my voice simply because my words are uncomfortable for you.

“I serve a living God. He has seen the tears I have cried in private, the pain I have carried, and the struggles I have faced while trying to be strong for my children. When I felt helpless, I held on to my faith. I believe God is fighting for me, and I believe that one day, justice will be served.

“YOU MAY BE ABLE TO TELL YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY, BUT I ALSO HAVE A STORY TO TELL. YOU CANNOT ERASE MY EXPERIENCES BY PRESENTING YOURSELF AS THE ONLY VICTIM.

“I am hurt, but I am still standing. I am tired, but I have not given up. I will continue to seek justice through the law and trust God to give me strength.

“GOD KNOWS THE TRUTH OF MY HEART. I STAND BY MY WORDS, I STAND FOR MY CHILDREN, AND I BELIEVE THAT JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL.”

Fola’s statement has brought renewed attention to the dispute involving her former husband and Lizzy Anjorin. While she insists that she will continue to speak about her experiences and pursue legal remedies, the allegations remain her account of the dispute.
