Popular Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has opened up about his activities since becoming a prominent voice on social media, claiming that he has helped recover billions of naira while fighting for justice and accountability.
The activist made the revelation while speaking about his approach to handling cases brought to his attention by members of the public. According to him, he has never demanded payment from anyone before taking up an issue and has no plans to start charging for his interventions.
“I have been able to recover billions since my time on social media as VeryDarkMan, and I have never collected ₦1 before to do a case and I’ll never collect ₦1 to do a case,” he said.
VeryDarkMan explained that his decision to remain unpaid in such matters is driven by his desire to encourage Nigerians to speak up whenever they witness wrongdoing.
He added that if more citizens actively reported crimes and refused to ignore issues affecting society, the country would experience positive change.
“If everybody start reporting the crime that they see, this country will be better,” the activist stated.
Over the years, VeryDarkMan has gained widespread attention for using his social media platforms to highlight alleged injustices, consumer complaints, and issues involving individuals and organisations. His outspoken style has attracted both support and criticism, making him one of the most discussed online personalities in Nigeria.
