“I received a call” — Man left speechless as girlfriend’s brother demands invoice for everything he spent on her

A man has sparked widespread reactions online after claiming that an argument with his girlfriend took an unexpected turn when her brother demanded that he prepare an invoice detailing everything he had ever spent on her.

The man, who shared his experience anonymously, said the disagreement began after he accused his girlfriend of constantly benefiting from his money and fuel. According to him, the remark appeared to have reached her family, leading to an unusual request days later.

Narrating the incident, he said, “All you do is chow my money and use my fuel.” He explained that following the argument, his girlfriend’s brother contacted him with instructions to calculate every expense he had incurred during the relationship.

Girlfriend’s brother requests breakdown of expenses

The man said the call came on Sunday, adding that the request was not limited to receipts alone. According to him, the brother asked him to provide either a detailed invoice or a rough estimate of everything he had spent on his girlfriend over the course of their relationship.

Sharing his frustration, he wrote, “On Sunday, her brother called me and told me to invoice everything I ever did for her and if I can’t do that, to give a rough estimate of the total amount I spent on her.”

He further revealed that the matter did not end there, saying the brother reached out again to remind him about the request.

Social media users debate unusual relationship dispute

The unusual story has generated discussion across social media, with many users expressing surprise at the brother’s involvement in what began as a disagreement between a couple.

While some believed the request was a sarcastic response to the man’s complaint about spending on his girlfriend, others argued that financial contributions in relationships should not become tools during arguments.

The man ended his post by asking, “Is this how it’s done now?”, a question that has continued to fuel debate online.
