Fatai Adetokunbo, son of late Yoruba comic actor Makinde Adetokunbo, popularly known as Dejo Tunfulu, has broken down in tears while speaking about the hardship he is currently facing.
Fatai, who has described himself as a professional football fan, became emotional in a video making the rounds online as he lamented his situation and appealed to God for help.
“I swear to God I am tired. I am tired. I am just using agidi. I am tired. I can’t kill myself. God, please help me,” he said.
The development has drawn renewed attention to Fatai’s previous comments about his career and struggles following the death of his father.
He had earlier spoken about regretting his decision not to follow his late father’s advice to pursue acting, saying he chose football instead. He also disclosed that he was no longer playing professionally but remained involved in supporting football academies, grassroots players and upcoming footballers.
His description of himself as a professional football fan, however, became a major talking point among social media users, with several people questioning the phrase and wondering whether it was a profession.
