Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed his intention to venture into acting, expressing his desire to become more involved in the Nigerian film industry.
The singer made the disclosure during a recent interview with Vibe Q, where he shared that he has already invested in two films as an executive producer and is looking forward to taking on acting roles in the future.
Davido also announced that he has completed a documentary project, describing it as a major production that will be released soon.
“I want to get into movies. I want to start acting soon. I have invested in two movies already as an executive producer. I also have a documentary coming. It is very, very big. And yeah, I do want to act at some point in the future,” he said.
The ‘OBO’ hitmaker explained that music, like technology, is constantly changing, and creatives must continue to adapt by exploring new ideas and finding different ways to express themselves.
According to Davido, he remains grateful for his successful music career and the support of his fans, adding that he enjoys being part of an industry that continues to evolve.
“God has blessed me with an amazing career and fans. I wouldn’t ask for another type of career. Music is what I love and music evolves just like technology. There’s always a new sound, a new creative idea and a new way to tell your story,” he added.
