“I Would Give Anything To Be There” – Patience Ozokwo Explains Why She Missed Olu Jacobs’ Funeral Service

Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has expressed heartbreak over her absence from the funeral service of late veteran actor Olu Jacobs.

The actress, who is currently in Ghana, revealed that contractual obligations prevented her from travelling to Nigeria to pay her last respects to the late Nollywood legend.

Olu Jacobs reportedly died and was laid to rest on Friday, October 2, with several celebrities and industry colleagues in attendance.

Taking to social media, Patience Ozokwo said she would have given anything to be present at the funeral, adding that her thoughts and heart were with those who gathered to honour the late actor.

“It hurts my heart that I am not physically present in Nigeria today to pay my last respects to the great legend, Olu Jacobs.
I would give anything to be there right now, but contractual obligations will not allow me to.
My heart and thoughts are with you all.
I pray everything goes peacefully and that his remarkable legacy lives on.
Though I may not be there in person, please know that I am with you all in spirit.
Rest well, great legend.
Your legacy will forever remain.

Go well, great legend.
Ga nke Oma.
Until we meet to part no more.”

Patience Ozokwo and Olu Jacobs were among the veteran actors who made significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry over the years.
