Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose has stirred fresh reactions after declaring that he can withdraw his support for Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, following the backlash over his recent meeting with Seyi Tinubu.
Speaking in a viral video, Fayose questioned whether Peter Obi had ever appreciated his contributions to the 2023 campaign, claiming he spent heavily to support the former Anambra State governor.
He added that if he chose to, he could openly campaign for President Bola Tinubu, noting that he is Yoruba and has admiration for both the President and his son.
“I can withdraw my support for Peter Obi. Do you people know how much I spent on Peter Obi’s 2023 campaign? I met Seyi Tinubu and people started complaining. Has Peter Obi ever appreciated me? If I want, I can start campaigning for President Tinubu. I’m a Yoruba man, and I love President Tinubu and his son.”
His remarks have sparked widespread debate on social media, with supporters and critics sharing mixed reactions.
