A Nigerian lady has called on citizens to pay closer attention to the state of the country’s infrastructure as they prepare to make their choice in the 2027 general election.
The lady, who appeared concerned about the condition of major roads, particularly those connecting the South-East and South-South regions, expressed worry over the difficulties motorists may face during the busy Christmas travel period.
Reacting to the situation, she pointed to the poor state of roads leading to Asaba and the Onitsha Head Bridge, noting that traffic challenges had already begun despite the Ember months only just starting.
“We need a better Nigeria oo. People planning to travel back during the Christmas period, I hope you guys have a second thought? Imagine, on the first day of the Ember months, roads leading to Asaba and the Onitsha Head Bridge are already blocked because of bad roads. If you’re planning to vote for the current administration again, think about it. Because if it doesn’t affect you, it might affect your family members or relatives.”
The lady’s comments have sparked a conversation about the condition of Nigeria’s roads and the impact of poor infrastructure on citizens, particularly during periods of increased travel.
