Popular TikTok creator Jarvis has advised young Nigerians not to rush into marriage without financial stability as she prepares for her white wedding with fellow content creator Peller.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Jarvis urged intending couples to resist societal pressure and ensure they are financially prepared for the responsibilities that come with marriage. She noted that adequate planning can help reduce unnecessary stress after the wedding.
She also suggested that couples should consider holding their traditional and white weddings in different years instead of organizing both ceremonies back-to-back, explaining that the approach could ease the financial burden associated with weddings.
“If you don’t have money, don’t get married. Don’t try it, I beg you.
“But if you are planning of getting married, you can share it by doing traditional wedding this year and do the white wedding the next year.
“We almost postponed our wedding, but even if we put it in the next 50 years, we are never going to prepare for the wedding,” she said.
Jarvis’ comments come as anticipation continues to build around her upcoming wedding to Peller, one of Nigeria’s most popular TikTok personalities.
