Veteran Nigerian entertainer and social commentator Charly Boy has expressed frustration over the state of the country, particularly the rising cost of living, poor infrastructure and unreliable electricity supply.
In a statement, Charly Boy criticised what he described as the declining standard of living in Nigeria, questioning why basic amenities are often considered privileges rather than necessities.
He pointed to the condition of roads, electricity supply and the rapid increase in the prices of goods as examples of the challenges Nigerians continue to face.
“I’ve never seen a country with a higher rate of dvmb citizens like Nigeria. A country where good roads are treated as luxury, where people with steady electricity are classified as the rich. A country where the price of goods can jump from 10k to 100k overnight with no questions asked and you call that a country?”
His comments have sparked conversations about the economic difficulties facing Nigerians and the growing concerns over the affordability of basic necessities.
