A businesswoman has raised alarm after an unknown person reportedly støle one of the doors installed at her newly opened shop in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
The woman shared photos of the missing structure on social media and expressed frustration over the incident, questioning how business owners are expected to survive when their property is not safe.
She said: “How else do business owners survive in this kind of environment? This is what they stole from my newly opened shop in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.”
According to her, the missing item was one of the doors she had constructed to cover the waste disposal area of the shop.
Her complaint has since attracted reactions from social media users, with several people expressing concern over security in Lagos and the safety of businesses and property owners.
One user wrote, “No where is safe again,” while another described Lagos as “sitting on time bomb.”
Another user, reacting to the incident, said structures like the one shown in the video might be vulnerable to theft because of poor security.
The woman did not disclose whether she had reported the incident to the police or identified any suspect.
The incident has sparked fresh discussion online about petty theft, business security and the challenges faced by shop owners in parts of Lagos.
