Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has thrown her weight behind her colleague, Toyin Abraham, amid the controversy surrounding a leaked audio recording involving the actress.
Toyosi, in a video shared on social media, appealed to Toyin’s fans and members of the public to put the controversy aside and focus on supporting her latest cinema project.
The actress also expressed hope that those who felt disappointed or hurt by the leaked recording would find peace and understanding.
Speaking on Toyin’s behalf, Toyosi urged the public to believe in what her colleague stands for and encouraged fans both in Nigeria and abroad to continue supporting her.
She also called on everyone to embrace peace and show understanding, stressing the importance of standing by one another during difficult times.
In her message, she said:
“Good day, our amazing people, all lovers and fans of Toyin Abraham.
“I’m using this medium to speak on her behalf and to offer peace and solace to aggrieved channels and those who feel disappointed by the voice leak. If, by any chance, she still holds you, her favourites and fans both at home and abroad, that she is not in the know about all that transpired.
“I joined the whole world in speaking on her behalf, and we should all believe in what she stands for. Her movie, Bestie Jesus, will be showing in all cinemas from Dec 16th. Let’s channel our energy to support her and be our brothers and sisters’ keeper”.
Toyosi’s message comes as attention remains focused on the controversy surrounding Toyin, with the actress now receiving public support from some of her colleagues.
She concluded her appeal by encouraging fans to redirect their energy towards supporting Toyin’s upcoming movie, Bestie Jesus, which is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 16.
