Nigerian media personality Mayowa Lambe has fired a strong legal warning at her estranged husband, popular On-Air Personality, Robert Ekpenyong Ekpo, also known as Roby Ekpo, accusing him of malicious defamation and sustained reputational damage.
In a “Final Notice of Cease and Desist” dated 22 April 2026, sent through Aunt Landa’s Bethel Foundation, Lambe’s representatives state that any prior traditional marital relationship between the couple was mutually terminated with full knowledge and consent of both families before May 11, 2025. The letter insists there has been no subsisting marriage since that date.

The notice claims Ekpo has waged a deliberate campaign of falsehood across social media platforms and public broadcasts, particularly during his recent emotional appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast.

It accuses him of spreading false allegations regarding infidelity, financial dependency, moral character, and the status of their relationship. According to the foundation, Mayowa Lambe possesses extensive verifiable evidence, including financial records, communications, medical and fertility documents, and third-party correspondences that directly contradict his public statements.
The letter demands that Ekpo immediately cease all defamatory publications, remove existing content from all platforms, issue a clear and unqualified public retraction, publish a full public apology on the same channels, and pay the sum of ₦100 million as damages. It gives him three days to comply, warning that failure to do so will result in immediate legal proceedings, including claims for aggravated damages, injunctive relief, and criminal complaints.
