Nigerian music star, Peter Okoye, a.k.a Mr P has officially announced on his official X handle a change to his birthday celebration date.
Okoye, popularly known as one-half of the defunct music duo P-Square, made the announcement via his verified X handle.
In the statement, he informed his supporters that November 18th will no longer be recognised as his birthday celebration date, adding that he would not be accepting messages or gifts on that day.
According to Peter Okoye, the decision is personal and final. He further revealed that his birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th going forward, urging fans, friends and family to take note of the new date.

“I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day.
“My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding,” he wrote.
Okoye, who has enjoyed a successful career in the Nigerian music industry, remains a highly influential figure in Afrobeats. His decision highlights the growing trend among celebrities to redefine personal traditions on their own terms, regardless of public expectations.
