A Nigerian man has reportedly removed a gate he personally installed at a compound after allegedly receiving a quit notice from his landlord.
The unusual incident was shared on X by user @oneman_official, who recounted what happened to a man living in a neighbouring compound.
According to the post, the man moved into the compound when there was no gate. He later decided to install one himself, reportedly because he had children and owned a car.
“He moved in when the compound doesn’t have gate yet,” the X user wrote.
“He installed gate by himself because of his kids and because he has a car.”
However, the situation reportedly took a different turn after the man was served a quit notice and eventually moved out of the compound.
“They gave him Quit notice! He moved out and came back last night,” @oneman_official stated.
The man allegedly returned to the property after moving out and took down the gate he had installed.
“He broke the fence and took his gate,” the post added.
The incident has generated reactions online, with social media users debating whether the man was right to remove the gate since he was the one who installed it in the first place.
