Nakuru, Kenya: Kenyans are stunned after learning that Nakuru Girls School students have been released to go home after they were restless in the institution.

Since 17 girls were killed in a deadly fire at Utumishi Girls Academy after restlessness cropped up in the school, many other students from schools such as Lenana School and Alliance Girls have also destroyed property at the school and left for home.
“Good morning, dear parents, I wish to inform you that, following the current wave of unrest in schools across the country, many of our girls have become emotionally distressed and expressed discomfort about remaining in school,” said the PA chair.

“We have spent the better part of today engaging with the students and assessing the situation. After careful consideration, we agreed to beef up security for the night, and it has been agreed that the girls will be released tomorrow for a short break. You will receive an SMS from the school with details to assist you in planning the necessary travel arrangements and pick-up logistics,” he added.
According to the PA, the school was prioritising the safety and well-being of their students.

“Though the schools unrest is not new in Kenya…with entry of CBCs Grades 10,11,12 teachers and principal will be served with a totally different menu from this CBC generation. They have to do things differently. Remember the story in the bible about the wine skins .you can’t put new wine into an old wine skin…… We know our teachers are great and experienced but there is need to change the approach as the times and generations have changed. It’s a matter of time and all will settle down. In our prayers.”

Girl shares chilling details of Moi Forces Academy closure
In a different story a Grade 10 student from Moi Forces Academy Lanet, spoke out after learners had to be sent home on Wednesday, June 3.
Naomi Njoroge told NGBREAKINGNEWS about the circumstances that caused the indefinite closure of the school and the reasons students were sent home
The learner also shared her fears after disclosing strange findings in their dormitory during an inspection conducted before the closure.
