A Nigerian woman has reportedly cried out after allegedly being trafficked to Côte d’Ivoire for prostitution, claiming she is from Ogun State.
The incident comes amid growing concerns over the trafficking of young Nigerian women to neighbouring West African countries, where many are reportedly exploited under false promises of better opportunities.
In a video circulating online, the lady appealed for help as her story sparked fresh conversations about human trafficking and the need for stronger efforts to dismantle trafficking networks.
The development has triggered mixed reactions across social media, with some blaming traffickers, while others argued that some victims may have been misled about the reality awaiting them abroad.
