Social media activist Verydarkman (VDM) has weighed in on the possibility of Nigerians coming together to challenge the government, saying he believes such a movement is possible but may struggle because of a lack of trust among citizens.
According to VDM, he has the platform and movement needed to confront those in power. However, he questioned whether ordinary Nigerians would remain united, alleging that some could compromise the cause because of money, tribal interests or religion.
“Yes, I have the movement to challenge the government 100%. The problem is the average Nigerian is just as bad as their leaders, and they will betray you either for money, tribalism or religion.”
The activist also expressed disappointment over what he described as dishonest behaviour among some Nigerians, particularly in business transactions. He cited situations where customers allegedly pay vendors for goods but never receive their orders.
“Nigerians, a lot of them are wicked. Only vendor you go buy something, vendor no go deliver.”
VDM further revealed that his office has received several complaints involving alleged scams. He claimed that one of the cases recently resulted in the recovery of ₦70 million.
“Do you know how many scam cases I have in my office? Just few days ago, N70M was recovered. I no even come online come talk….”
His remarks focused largely on trust, accountability and collective responsibility, with VDM arguing that these issues could make it difficult for Nigerians to sustain a united effort against the government.
