Controversial social media commentator VeryDarkMan has criticised the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, over discussions surrounding the proposed replacement of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform.
Reacting strongly to the development, he accused the ministry of lacking meaningful achievements in youth development since the minister assumed office.
In his words:
“This is what happens when you put m0r0ns in the position of Minister of Youth Development.”
He further added:
“Since he became minister, there has been no tangible achievement in respect to youth development in Nigeria.”
The comments quickly gained traction online, sparking mixed reactions from Nigerians. While some users supported his criticism and questioned the focus of the ministry, others argued that such remarks were harsh and disrespectful.
The controversy comes amid ongoing debates about reforms within the NYSC scheme, particularly suggestions around updating or replacing its traditional uniform.
