A Nigerian lady has triggered debate on social media after declaring that she admires women who allegedly make money through illegal means rather than depending on men to maintain their lifestyles.
The lady questioned the assumption that financially comfortable women must have wealthy men sponsoring them, insisting that some women make their own money through activities people might never suspect.
She shared her opinion after coming across a woman on Snapchat whose spending habits caught her attention.
According to her, she was impressed by the woman’s apparent financial independence, despite believing that her source of income was illegal.
In her words:
“There are some women you see with plenty of money, and it’s not a man giving them that money. They are doing illègal things, and I’m so proud of them. I hope they don’t get caught sha.”
She maintained that people often underestimate women’s ability to acquire wealth independently because they automatically assume men are responsible for funding their lifestyles.
The lady also described the woman she saw on Snapchat as wise, noting that she admired the way she allegedly spent her money.
