Nigerian social media personality and businessman Ola of Lagos has advised wealthy individuals against allowing money to change their attitude toward others.
According to Ola of Lagos, having money should not make a person look down on those who work for them. He stressed the importance of paying domestic and personal staff well and improving their salaries as their employers’ finances grow.
Sharing his thoughts on social media, Ola revealed that he has three drivers whom he treats like family members. He noted that their appearance does not make it obvious that they work as his drivers because he ensures they are well-fed and properly clothed.
He also encouraged his wealthy friends to prioritise the welfare of their staff by increasing their salaries and giving them bonuses whenever possible.
Ola of Lagos said:
“Don’t ever let money change you, it can change your look and appearance that is you Look fresher and start smelling nice, I have 3 drivers but you’ll never know they are drivers, call them my brothers I feed & cloth them well, I tell every rich friend I have pay your staffs well if it’s 100k upgrade it gradually to 200k & give them Bonus too, some Lamborghini drivers are paid 70k naira in Lagos”
His comments have drawn attention to the disparity that can exist between the wealth of employers and the salaries received by some workers, particularly personal and domestic staff.
