‘Police Commissioner Is Not Cooperating’ — Adeleke Raises Alarm Over Osun Security Situation

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has accused suspected APC thugs of unleashing violence in parts of Osogbo, the state capital, after unidentified gunmen reportedly fired sporadic gunshots on Tuesday.

Speaking on the incident, the governor expressed concern over the security situation and alleged that individuals linked to the opposition APC were responsible for the attacks.

According to Adeleke, he has appealed to his supporters to remain calm and avoid retaliation despite the provocation.

“I’ve just been informed that APC thugs came out today and started shooting at people. I’ve told my people to calm down because we don’t want a state of emergency in Osun State,” the governor said.

Adeleke also accused the Osun State Commissioner of Police of failing to cooperate with his administration in addressing the ongoing security challenges in the state.

“I’m very sad. The Commissioner of Police in Osun State is not cooperating. I don’t know what his problem is,” he stated.
