A former Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado, has alleged that the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), , received billions of naira from the Kano State Treasury for various personal expenditures.
Speaking during a public engagement, Rimin Gado claimed that Kwankwaso received ₦1.05 billion in December 2023 for the construction of a house and an additional ₦525 million for the construction of an office.
He further alleged that another ₦1.2404 billion was paid in December 2023 for the purchase of two vehicles.
According to him, Kwankwaso also reportedly received ₦100.08 million for medical expenses and ₦510.213 million for vacation costs in June 2024.
Rimin Gado maintained that the funds were allegedly sourced from the Kano State Treasury, insisting that his claims were not fabricated.
“I am not making false accusations against him; if he disagrees, he should take me to court,” he stated.
