The Kwara State Commandant, Mr Umar Mohammed, said the operatives have been strategically stationed across worship centres, recreational facilities, markets, motor parks, and other public places considered high risk during festive periods.

He noted that the Corps is working in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure a peaceful celebration across the state.

He said: “We have deployed 2,480 personnel across Kwara State to ensure adequate security during the Sallah celebration. Our duty is to protect lives and critical national assets”.

The Commandant also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security post for prompt action.
