A Catholic priest formerly ordained under the Diocese of Uyo has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the United States after being found guilty of sexually assaulting multiple women.
The priest, identified as Anthony Odiong, was convicted in a Texas court following a series of investigations and testimonies from victims who accused him of sexual abuse. The case reportedly involved multiple incidents, which prosecutors said were supported by strong forensic and testimonial evidence.
