Nigerian singer Skales has recounted an experience involving Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy and Afrobeats star Davido, revealing how Burna Boy reportedly pleaded with Davido to allow him to travel on his private jet during a trip to Yola.
Skales made the revelation during a livestream conversation with content creator Gilmore, while recalling their journey to Yola for a performance of their collaborative song, Temper.
According to the singer, Burna Boy personally called Davido to request a space on his private jet.
“Burna Boy called Davido and said, please, can I join you on your private jet when we were going to perform ‘Temper’ in Yola,” Skales said.
He further disclosed that the aircraft was already overcrowded, forcing Davido to ask one of his team members to leave so the additional passengers could be accommodated.
Describing the situation, Skales said someone even had to sit on the toilet seat because there was insufficient space.
“The jet was so full that Davido had to ask one of his team members to leave, while someone had to sit on the toilet seat because of me and there was no space,” he recalled.
When asked about his relationship with Davido, Skales simply responded that both artistes were still on good terms.
“Me and Davido are cool,” he said.
