Charlton Athletic have confirmed Arthur Okonkwo’s invitation for Nigeria’s 2026 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, DAILY POST reports.
Okonkwo, who is on loan at Charlton from Wrexham, will be looking to make his competitive debut for the Super Eagles in the upcoming games.
The 24-year-old has two caps for the three-time African champions, having debuted during the Unity Cup at The Valley in May.
The Arsenal Academy graduate is expected to vie for a starting spot with Stanley Nwabali and Maduka Okoye
Okonkwo has made four appearances for Charlton this season.
Nigeria will host the Barea of Madagascar in a matchday one encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday, 25 September.
Eric Chelle’s side will then travel away for a clash with the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau four days later.
