A 27-year-old Kabiru Nuhu, suspected to have killed his biological father in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State, has revealed why he took the decision.
The suspect’s confession followed police interrogation and investigation on the reason for his action.
DAILY POST reports that, Nuhu was arrested for allegedly pouring petrol on his biological father and setting him ablaze.
The suspect was arrested with fire burn injuries on a red trouser.
In an interview with the suspect, he attributed his action to a prolonged family misunderstanding and neglect.
According to him” I have been having issues with my father since, which made him to abandon me.
“I was not happy with the situation. I, therefore, decided to take this decision.”
Family members said both the father and the son have not been in talking terms for more than two years. They claimed he suffered utter neglect, and was treated as an outcast in the family.
Finding revealed that the suspect is a drug addict. The father abandoned him after efforts to rehabilitate him failed.
