Popular content creator Asherkine has sparked reactions online after revealing how he was stopped by security officials at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for filming content without prior approval.
In a video shared by YabaLeftOnline, Asherkine explained that he was confronted while recording on campus and jokingly remarked, “That’s why I don’t come here,” suggesting the experience discouraged him from filming at the institution.
The clip quickly went viral on X, with many users divided over whether the content creator was treated unfairly or simply failed to follow the school’s filming guidelines.
Some users defended UNILAG’s actions, arguing that filming inside institutions often requires permission, especially for commercial content.
