“They Are The Ones Who Will Suffer”- Segun Wealth Calls Out Ex Over Alleged Restriction From His Kids

Photographer Segun Wealth, husband of celebrity fashion designer Toyin Lawani, has sparked reactions online after sharing a series of emotional posts about his family and children.

In a now-deleted social media post, Segun suggested that having children with another woman was not something that would make him neglect himself or sacrifice his entire life. He also appeared to express frustration over what he described as a narrative being pushed about him.

He wrote:

“Good, you push me to the point I won’t care.

No be me first get kids with another woman.

You’ll be alright.

I need to look after me too.

Even my other child, I no dey do half of wetin I dey do for una.

I never even do the investments I do for your own children for am.

I no act based on the narrative that you pushed on me.

I no talk about you; I kept quiet through it because I said I won’t.

That’s not because I’m stupīd or scared; I didn’t want to put words out there the way you did because I know the internet.

But now if you wan try am again, I dey for you.

If we been marry and you get children for me, no mean say I go kill myself.

I do what’s right; I try to build trust funds and sustainable structures that you yourself couldn’t maintain or grow.

You will throw your stones and hide your hands.

Even my family go dey tell me nonsense.”

In another post, Segun alleged that his former partner had been preventing him from spending quality time with his children despite his continued financial responsibilities toward them.

According to him, he regularly attends to the bills and other needs of the children, even when doing so is inconvenient for him. However, he claimed that his requests to have the children stay with him, particularly during holidays, were repeatedly rejected.

He expressed concern that if he eventually stopped making the sacrifices he currently makes, the children would be the ones to suffer.

Segun wrote:

“Even when I work myself to the ground, your kids are always a priority; even when it’s not convenient, they still come first.

Even when I ask to spend holidays with them,

It’s never possible; it’s always one excuse after another, to the point that I gave up on asking. I travelled all the way down to surprise them; you gave excuses.

But all I get is the bills part, which I do gladly, even when it’s not convenient. Even when I’m down, all you care about is that part; I’m mindful of our kids and other kids around
