In a viral video currently trending on Monday, many angry youths were seen chanting “Tinubu Must Go” while blocking a major road in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
The protesters, carrying placards and leaves, were heard shouting that hunger and insecurity have taken over the state and the entire country.
The protest was said to have started in the early hours of Monday and caused heavy traffic gridlock as motorists were stranded for hours.
One of the protesters who spoke in the video said, “We are tired of hunger, we are tired of killings, Tinubu must go, we need a better Nigeria.”
Security operatives were later seen trying to disperse the crowd to prevent the protest from turning violent.
At the time of filing this report, the Zamfara State Government and the police have not issued any official statement on the protest.
