
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has a moment between her and her 10-year-old son, Jamil Balogun, that gave her goosebumps and left her feeling thankful over her parental
In a recent interview, Savage revealed that while she and a friend were casually chatting and scrolling through Instagram photos of British rapper Skepta and actor Aaron Pierre, she jokingly referred to Skepta as her “baby daddy.”
Her son Jamil walked in at that moment, overheard the comment, and immediately corrected her with surprising wisdom.

“And then Jamil goes… ‘What’s that? What are you showing her?’ Then I said, ‘My baby daddy,’” Savage recalled. “My son was like, ‘You are not going to have a baby daddy.’ And I’m like, ‘Why would you say that?’ He said, ‘Because you deserve a husband.’”

The touching exchange highlights Jamil’s protective nature and desire for his mother to find lasting love and stability. Savage, who shares co-parenting responsibilities with her ex-husband Tunji “TeeBillz” Balogun following their 2016 separation, has frequently opened up about the challenges of single motherhood and dating in the public eye.
