Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested six suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and recovered a large consignment of materials believed to be destined for terrorist groups during an intelligence-led operation in Borno State.
The operation, carried out by troops of Sector 1 at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, involved a stop-and-search exercise along a suspected terrorist supply route.
The suspects were intercepted while travelling in five vehicles conveying supplies allegedly meant for terrorist elements.

Items recovered include 202 cartons of herbicides, a Starlink satellite internet communication system, one jerrycan containing suspected acid, six bags of NPK fertiliser, 10 bags of rice, 50 hoes and 20 packs of knapsack sprayer pumps.
The military said preliminary assessments indicate that the items have potential dual-use applications that could support terrorist logistics, mobility, communications and sustainment.
It added that the fertilisers and suspected acid would undergo forensic examination to determine whether they were intended for the manufacture of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The six suspects and the recovered items have been handed over to the appropriate Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation to identify the intended recipients, uncover the wider logistics network and apprehend other collaborators.
Operation HADIN KAI said intelligence obtained from rescued hostages and surrendered terrorist family members suggests that sustained attacks on terrorist supply chains have significantly weakened the operational capacity of insurgent groups, forcing many to abandon their camps, families and captives while fleeing military pressure.
The military reiterated its commitment to dismantling terrorist logistics networks and urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to support ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the North-East.
