The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has confirmed that the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, will host the first leg of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup final round qualifying fixture between Falconets and Malawi, DAILY POST reports.
There was confusion in the build-up to the game with Malawi claiming that the Confederation of African Football, CAF, informed them that the game will hold at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta.
The NFF however got CAF’s approval to host the game at the Remo Stars Stadium on Thursday night.
Saturday’s encounter will kick-off at 4pm local time.
The return leg is scheduled for the Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, 9 May.
The winner on aggregate will earn a berth at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup slated for Poland 2026.
