U.S. Congressman, Riley Moore, has said that the United States will closely monitor Nigeria’s 2027 general elections and the conduct of the electoral process.
Speaking during an interview with Noire TV, Moore was asked whether he was aware of Nigeria’s upcoming elections and whether the United States could provide political support.
In response, the congressman said the United States would be paying close attention to Nigeria’s 2027 elections.
He added that the U.S. would be observing both the outcome of the polls and the manner in which the elections are conducted.
“We will be paying close attention to Nigeria’s 2027 election.
“We are certainly going to be watching these results and how these elections will unfold and how they are executed and that something that myself and my administration will pay very close attention too,” he said.
His remarks have attracted attention amid growing interest in Nigeria’s 2027 electoral process. However, Moore did not specify what form such observation or engagement by the United States would take beyond monitoring the elections.
