A young man was recently confronted and cautioned in Aba, Abia State, after he was allegedly seen throwing a plastic bottle on the road.
The incident reportedly occurred when the man discarded the bottle on the street instead of disposing of it properly.
A video making the rounds online captured the moment he was stopped and confronted over his action.
Those who challenged him reportedly reminded him that such behaviour was not acceptable in the area, with one person telling him, “We don’t do that here.”
The young man appeared to listen as those around him expressed their displeasure over littering the environment.
The incident has since sparked reactions online, with many people commending the individuals who spoke up and encouraged proper waste disposal.
Some social media users also used the incident to call for greater awareness about keeping public spaces clean and discouraging indiscriminate dumping of waste.
