A lady has expressed deep sorrow and anger after allegedly losing her friends to kidnappers in Uromi, Edo State, despite efforts to secure their release.
Recounting the heartbreaking incident, she said the kidnappers demanded ₦25 million for each of her friends. According to her, they went through desperate measures, including selling properties and begging people for money, to raise the ransom.
In her words:
“My Friends Were K!dnapped In Uromi, Edo State, And The K!dnappers Demanded ₦25 Million Each As Ransom. We Ran Around Selling Properties And Begging For Money To Pay The Ransom, But After Collecting The Money, The K!dnappers Still K!lled Them. I’m Heartbroken And Angry. The Government Is Doing Nothing About The Insecurity In The State.”
The lady expressed frustration over the tragic outcome, lamenting that despite their efforts to meet the kidnappers’ demands, her friends allegedly lost their lives.
She also criticised the government’s handling of insecurity in Edo State, insisting that more needs to be done to protect residents from kidnappers and other criminal elements.
Her account highlights the emotional and financial burden kidnapping places on families and friends, who are often left scrambling to raise huge sums of money in the hope of saving their loved ones.
