A viral video making rounds on social media has captured an emotional moment following a major political development ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In the footage, a woman is seen breaking down in tears shortly after Lagos politician Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, announced his withdrawal from the Lagos State governorship race.
The visibly distressed woman began crying immediately after the announcement, sparking widespread reactions online as Nigerians debated both the political implications of the decision and the emotional response it triggered among supporters.
Speaking during the announcement, Jandor confirmed that his decision to step down was final, stating his commitment to party unity and alignment with the choice of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“So, tell everybody that we didn’t just say it, we meant it,” he said.
He further disclosed that the President had endorsed another candidate, adding: “Mr. President has endorsed the candidacy of Dr. Kadiri Obafemi-Hamzat”
Reaffirming his stance, Jandor noted that he and his supporters would work towards the success of the party in the upcoming elections.
“As you have seen in the news, we are supporting his choice, and we are going to work for the party and see to the success of the party and all the candidates of the party in the 2027 election,” he added.
