World Cup Round of 32 fixtures: All you need to know

The official Round of 32 bracket for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been confirmed following the conclusion of the group stage on June 28.

The expanded 48-team tournament has introduced the first-ever 32-team single-elimination knockout phase, featuring the top two teams from each of the 12 groups alongside the eight best third-placed finishers.

The knockout stage will begin on Sunday, June 28, and run through Friday, July 3, with 16 matches scheduled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

South Africa and Canada will raise the curtain on the Round of 32 at Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday.

Brazil will face Japan on Monday before Germany meet Paraguay and the Netherlands take on Morocco in the early hours of Tuesday.

France will then battle Sweden later the same day.

Wednesday’s fixtures will see Côte d’Ivoire face Norway before hosts Mexico take on Ecuador. Portugal will also lock horns with Croatia.

The United States will play Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, while Belgium face Senegal. Spain will round off the day’s action against Austria.

England will meet DR Congo early on Friday before Switzerland take on Algeria. Defending champions Argentina will face tournament debutants Cape Verde later that day.

The final two Round of 32 ties will be played on Saturday, with Colombia taking on Ghana before Australia face Egypt.
