A Nigerian lady who borrowed ₦1.2 million from Opay has gone viral after revealing her repayment amount online.
In a viral X post, the lady explained what pushed her to borrow the money.
Lady Cries Out After Borrowing From Opay
Identified as @iam-Mardiyah on X, she disclosed that she took the loan after getting admitted to the university.
According to her, she used the money to purchase bags and wigs. Eventually, she deleted the Opay app due to the interest accumulating.
However, she stumbled upon ₦9,608.17 upon reinstallation. According to the loan breakdown revealed it was taken on November 13, 2024.
”I borrowed 1.2M from OPay to change my phone and get some wigs in 100 level and I deleted the app when the interest was piling up too much and they kept disturbing me to pay back, I installed the app back now and y’all won’t believe how much my loan has become“, She tweeted.
Meanwhile, the tweet, which has garnered over 2 million views, has drawn reactions from X users.
