A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after questioning voters who intend to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election despite the rising cost of living.
In a viral video, the man pointed to the prices of fuel, cooking gas and cement, arguing that Nigerians who have experienced the economic hardship of the past three years should consider the situation when they head to the polls in 2027.
He said, “Nigerians, You Buy Fuel For ₦1,300, You Buy Gas For ₦1,400, You Buy Cement ₦13,000–₦14,000 Per Bag. Then On Election Day, You Get To Your Polling Unit And Decide It’s Tinubu You Want To Vote For.”
He went on to use a humorous reference to question voters who would still support Tinubu despite the hardship.
“That Means The Juju That Was Used On You, Even a Spiritual Father Won’t Be Able To Deliver You,” he said.
The man further urged Nigerians to take the 2027 election seriously and hold on to their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), arguing that voting is one of the major ways citizens can influence the direction of the country.
“If The Suffering We Have Endured In The Past 3 Years Doesn’t Hit You Hard, And You Don’t Hold Your PVC Like Your Life Depends On It, That Means Your Problem Is Bigger Than Me,” he added.
His comments have since generated reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing with his frustration over the cost of living, while others focused on the prices he mentioned.
