“Your President Has Spent Over 200 Days Abroad But Never Visited Kogi”- Peter Obi

The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Peter Obi, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over his frequent foreign trips, questioning why he has allegedly spent more than 200 days abroad without visiting Kogi State.

Obi made the remarks while speaking at an ongoing town hall meeting in Kogi State, where he highlighted concerns about poor infrastructure, hunger, insecurity and the lack of adequate healthcare facilities across the country.

Addressing the gathering, the former Anambra State governor accused the government of prioritising foreign trips while communities continue to face challenges that affect their daily lives.

“Your President has spent more than 200 days abroad but has never spent a day in Kogi State. When the time comes, they will take our money to give you people money. That is why we have bad roads, hunger, insecurity everywhere and no good hospitals,” Obi said.

His comments focused on the need for greater attention to local communities and the challenges confronting ordinary Nigerians, particularly in areas such as road infrastructure, food security, public safety and healthcare.
