The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, has said the 2027 general elections will bring to an end the administration of President Bola Tinubu, accusing the All Progressive Congress-led government of governing with lies and deceit
Makinde made this declaration on Thursday during the South-West Town Hall meeting of the APM in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
He promised that if elected President, he would always tell Nigerians the truth and run an inclusive and transparent government, adding that Tinubu has broken all his promises to Nigerians.
“The current administration came in and told us that it had the magic wand to solve the challenges confronting us. As a matter of fact, the President said that if he failed to fix electricity in four years, Nigerians should not vote for him again.
“So, we are all aware that they have failed to provide electricity and other things they promised. The 2027 elections will end the government of lies and deceit,” he stated.
The Oyo State governor challenged Tinubu’s government to release its pricing template for petroleum products so that Nigerians would know how it arrived at its current price, adding that his government would not last beyond four years if elected.
