A former public office holder, **Sola Abegunde**, has alleged that he was abruptly prevented from appearing on a live programme at **Fresh FM Ibadan**, claiming the decision followed a last-minute directive.
Speaking during an interview on **Success 105.3 FM**, Abegunde described the incident as a personal experience that occurred while he was already seated in the studio, prepared to go on air.
According to him, his name had been announced to listeners before a phone call was received instructing that he should not be allowed to participate in the programme.
> “It is not an allegation; it happened to me,” Abegunde said.
He further alleged that the directive came from the station’s owner, **Yinka Ayefele**, though no independent confirmation has been reported.
Abegunde went further to question the professionalism behind the decision, stating that such an action does not reflect proper media management practices.
> He argued that if the station’s leadership adhered to standard broadcasting ethics, a guest already invited and announced would not have been removed at the last minute.
As of the time of reporting, neither **Fresh FM Ibadan** nor its management has issued an official response to the claims.
The allegation adds to ongoing discussions around editorial independence, ownership influence, and professionalism within Nigeria’s broadcast media industry.
