Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho has sparked controversy after issuing a call for armed bandits and those allegedly working with them to be k!lled.
Igboho made the statement while addressing members of the newly inaugurated Iru Ẹkun Network in Ondo State, where he spoke about the fight against banditry and kidnapping.
He said, “Any bandit you see with a gun in the forest, k!ll him. If you see any Yoruba or Igbo working with them, k!ll them too. If you see any Hausa involved in kidnapping, eliminat£ him immediately.”
His remarks have generated mixed reactions on social media, with some users supporting the call against criminal elements, while others expressed concerns about the possibility of vigilante violence and ethnic profiling.
