“I Was Given Two Months To Live”- Man Recounts Battle With Stage 5 Kidney Failure, Credits God For Recovery

A Nigerian man has shared an emotional testimony of how he believes God restored his health after he was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure, claiming that doctors had given him only two to three months to live.

The man shared his experience while giving a testimony at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), where he recounted the difficult period he went through before his reported recovery.

According to him, his health challenges began in August 2025 when he was treated for malaria and typhoid. However, his condition failed to improve, leading to further medical examinations that reportedly revealed stage 5 kidney failure.

He explained that his body became swollen, while eating and using the toilet became increasingly difficult. His condition also deteriorated to the point where he required six blood transfusions after his blood level reportedly dropped to 18 per cent.

The man said doctors advised him to prepare for a kidney transplant and recommended dialysis three times a week. He described the experience as physically exhausting, financially demanding and spiritually challenging.

Recounting how his journey to recovery began, he disclosed that he travelled to Lagos in October 2025, which was also his birthday month. It was during this period that his then-fiancée introduced him to MFM.

He subsequently began attending church services, praying and seeking spiritual support. He also recalled reaching out to the church’s General Overseer, Daniel Olukoya, as he continued to seek help during his health crisis.

The man further revealed that he attended MFM’s Power Must Change Hands programme in Abuja. During the programme, he said he followed a prayer instruction to strike the part of his body where he felt pain 21 times while fasting.

According to his account, a subsequent MRI scan showed that his previously affected liver and kidney were clear. He attributed the development to divine intervention, describing it as a turning point in his battle with the illness.

Speaking about his current condition, the man said he had spent six months without undergoing dialysis and described himself as healthy and restored.

Beyond his health struggles, he also revealed that he lost his job while battling the illness. However, he claimed that he had since received better employment offers, which he regarded as another positive development following his recovery.

Expressing gratitude, the man credited God for his survival, reflecting on how he had continued living despite the grim prognosis he said doctors had given him.

His testimony has drawn attention to his personal experience of faith, perseverance and recovery after a life-threatening health challenge.
