A Nigerian lady has called out ride-hailing company inDrive after allegedly experiencing what she described as frightening and unacceptable behaviour from one of its riders.
According to the lady, the incident happened after she booked a ride with an inDrive driver. She claimed that the rider refused to stop at her intended destination and instead continued driving at high speed on the expressway.
Expressing her frustration, she questioned the company over the conduct of its drivers and alleged that the rider told her nothing would happen even if she reported him.
“InDrive, are you people recruiting k!dnappers into your organization? Because your rider yesterday refused to stop me where I was going to and he was driving full speed on the express,” she said.
The lady further expressed concern over the driver’s alleged response when she threatened to report his conduct to the company.
Her account has sparked concerns about passenger safety and the need for ride-hailing companies to ensure that their drivers adhere strictly to safety standards and respect passengers’ destinations.

In other news… A woman has criticised what she described as excessive “gentle parenting” after a recent encounter with a child at a mall in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to her, she visited the mall on Sunday, October 4, 2026, with snacks and drinks already inside her bag. She said she left the bag briefly while getting something from the counter, but turned around and saw a child drinking from one of the drinks.
The woman said she initially thought the drink belonged to the child before realising that it was hers. She claimed the child’s mother only asked, “Is it yours? Is it yours?” without apologising for the incident.
Sharing the experience online, she said the incident had changed the way she viewed the parenting style.
“A lot of wealthy people are doing h@rm to their kids all in the name of ‘gentle parenting’, but they don’t know,” she said.
Her post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users defending the mother’s approach while others agreed that the child’s behaviour should have been corrected.
