A Nigerian lady has called out another woman, identified as Aunty Bukola, over her sudden change of mind in a relationship that was heading towards marriage.
According to her, she was the one who introduced her to a 48-year-old abroad-based man who had plans to return to Nigeria and remarry.
In her words, she said:
“Aunty Bukola living in Abeokuta, thank you so much. I introduced you to this man, a 48-year-old man based abroad who wanted to relocate back to Nigeria. He told you clearly that he was coming back and wanted to have another wife. Because of that decision, he even divorced his wife when she said she wasn’t coming back with him.”
She explained that she had initially agreed to marry the man, but things suddenly changed just as the man was preparing to return to Nigeria.
The situation reportedly took a different turn when Bukola stopped answering the man’s calls and later revealed she had changed her plans.
“Since last year, you said yes to him, that you wanted to marry him too. Now the man says he’s coming back to Nigeria in the next two weeks, and suddenly you’ve stopped picking his calls. I had to call you because he complained. Then you said you wanted to confide in me, that you’ve had a change of mind and now want to travel abroad.
After everything this man has done for you, is it good? At 36 years old, you now say you’ve seen another person who has already promised to take you abroad.”
The story has sparked mixed reactions online, as many debate loyalty, personal choices, and the realities of relationships influenced by opportunities abroad.
